BEAUPRE COMMUNITY HALL
The Beaupre district got its name from a prospector named Beaupre who lived in a cabin by the creek in days gone by. The historic one-room Beaupre Creek Schoolhouse, built in 1925, served as a multi-grade school until it closed in 1962. The Beaupre Community Association was then established and registered and the school was purchased. Some local residents lived in the old schoolhouse until 1964 when it was completely renovated and started serving as a gathering place for the community. On Halloween night in the year 2001, arsonists burned the old schoolhouse/community hall to the ground. Fundraising started immediately to build a new community hall and, on March 22, 2003 an Opening Ceremony was held for a brand new 3,100 sq. ft. building constructed on the six-acre site. The new hall is complete with a deck and lots of windows that capture the grand view of the majestic Rocky Mountains and is used more than ever by Beaupre Community Association members and non-members.

Due to new regulations banning indoor gatherings, the hall has once again been closed. All rentals are cancelled until we are allowed to resume operations. Please contact Trish Drews, our booking agent, at beauprerentals@gmail.com for questions regarding the hall and bookings.

The Beaupre Community Association is headed by a group of 8 elected volunteers who serve on a Board of Directors with a membership that includes people from the immediate and surrounding area. The Association hosts several annual events as well as ongoing weekly or monthly events, all organized and hosted by members. Participating and helping out at community events is an enjoyable and rewarding experience and we do our best to make everything that happens at the Hall fun, even the AGM which includes an amazing Potluck Dinner. Our younger members with small children are encouraged to host parties for the local children at Easter, Halloween and Christmas.
We welcome people who would like to help maintain the spirit of community to join us.
